Lasagna
Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground meat (some Italian sausage is good!)
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbs dried parsley flakes
- 1 tbs dried oregano
- 1 tbs dried basil
- 30 oz can chopped tomatoes (undrained)
- 12 oz tomato paste
- 24 oz ricotta cheese
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tbs parsley (for the cheese mixture)
- 1 tsp black papper (for the cheese mixture)
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 lb mozzarella cheese, divided
- 12-15 lasagna noodles
Instructions
- Brown meat, onion, and garlic.
- Add salt, pepper, parsely, oregano, basil, tomatoes, and tomato paste.
- Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
- Grease a 9x13" baking dish.
- Combine ricotta cheese, eggs, parsley, pepper, parmesan cheese, and 1/2 of the mozzarella cheese.
- Layer noodles, then sauce, then cheese mixture. Repeat. Top with a layer of noodles.
- Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella on top.
- Cover with foil and bake at 375F for 40 minutes.
- Uncover and bake for 20 more minutes.
