Beef and Broccoli
Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak
- 1 tbs soy sauce (marinade)
- 1 tbs rice wine (marinade)
- 2 tbs water (marinade)
- 1 tbs cornstarch (marinade)
- 1/8 cup vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp chopped ginger
- 6 green onions, chopped
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 lb broccoli, cut into florets
- 2 tbs oyster sauce (for the sauce)
- 1 tbs soy sauce (for the sauce)
- 1 tbs rice wine (for the sauce)
- 1 tbs cornstarch (for the sauce)
Instructions
- Cut meat into slices.
- Place into a bowl with the marinade ingredients.
- Let sit for at least 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in skillet/wok.
- Cook meat to about 75% done, remove and set aside.
- Add a little more oil if needed, add the garlic, ginger, and green onions and cook 30-60 seconds until fragrant.
- Add broccoli and 1/3 cup water.
- Cover and cook for 3 minutes.
- Add the cooked meat and combine well.
- Add the sauce and bring to a boil.
- Cook until thickened and the broccoli and meat are cooked well.
