Apple Pie

  1. Preheat oven to 425 F.
  2. Place bottom layer of pie crust into the pan
  3. Combine apples, sugar, corn starch, vanilla, and cinnamon in a bowl
  4. Add apple mixture to pie pan, spreading evenly
  5. Cut butter into small chunks and place evenly around the top of the filling
  6. Place top layer of pie crust, crimping edges for a good seal
  7. Brush milk across the top of the crust
  8. Cut vents in the top of the crust (small holes, you can get artistic with them if you want)
  9. Sprinkle some additional sugar and ground cinnamon on top of the pie
  10. Bake at 425 F for 15 minutes
  11. Reduce heat to 350 F and bake 30 more minutes
